TONG WENMIN

Tong Wenmin was born in 1989 and graduated from the Oil Painting Department at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute (SCFAI), China in 2012. Tong has participated in residency programs and performance festivals in Poland, Hungary, Australia, Israel, Iran, Thailand, Hong Kong and Macau. She currently lives and works in Chongqing, China.

Tong’s work focuses on the encounter between people’s perception of what is hidden from us in our everyday lives and the realities we actually face.Through her work, Tong makes our poetic states of mind emerge in action by embodying the vulnerability of religious beliefs and the unreliability of our thoughts. Tong explores ‘wild thinking’ and the meaning of modern life.

童文敏 トン・ウェンミン

1989 年生まれ。2012年四川美術学院油絵学科卒業。

現在、重慶市で作家活動。ポーランド、ハンガ リー、オーストラリア、イスラエル、 イラン、タイ、香港、マカオなど多く のレジデンシープログラムやパフォー マンスフェスティバルに参加している。

彼女は、人間の隠された秘密の認識と 現実の交差に焦点を当てており、そこ に起こる詩的な状態を、信仰の脆弱性、思考への不信頼をもとに行為に落とし 込む作品を制作している。
